Marco Polo

I'm Rodina Mohamed 🩷.I like blogging about different things. Today, I will talk about Marco Polo Museum. I visited the Marco Polo Museum on my vacation. It's a really interesting museum. It's all about the travels of Marco Polo. Marco Polo was born in Venice in 1254 . His father and uncle were explorers and merchants. His father took him to China at the age of 17. The journey from Italy to China was difficult. It took four years to complete. He went on a long voyage by sea ⛵🌊. He sailed from Venice to Iran. He rode a camel to across the desert 🏜️. His adventures were very interesting. He lived in China for 17 years. He saw and learnt a lot of things there. When he went back to Venice, he wrote his book. It's called " The Travels of Marco Polo". A lot of people learned a lot from his book 📖. When he was 21, he went to the Gobi Desert. He was fascinated by sand dunes. The wind made the sand dunes move and roll like huge yellow waves. Local people called the Gobi Desert " the dry sea".

Hi! My name's Lucy. When I was 14, I decided to travel around the world and see as many countries as possible. My mom said "yes"! I was so first. I use a wheelchair, so we had excited! We decided to go to Morocco to be very organized, but that wasn't a problem. We filled in the forms to tell the train and plane staff about my disability, and everybody was very helpful. I looked up the best places to visit on the internet before we left. My favorite place in Morocco was Marrakech. I loved the food there. We stayed at a riad, which is a special house in Morocco. There was a swimming pool, and my mom woke me up early so I could swim every day. Moroccans speak French, so I picked up a lot of French phrases while I was there. When the taxi dropped us off at the airport, I felt a bit sad. Morocco is a wonderful place!

Today, I write about Ancient Egyptian homes.Egypt is the gift of the Nile.There is no Nile, there is no Egypt.Ancient Egyptions built thier homes near the Nile.They used its water to drink, cook, wash and to grow crops.They used mud from the river to make bricks.They used mud bricks to make strong walls.The mud bricks helped to keep the homes cool.Ancient Egyptian homes had flat roofs.The furniture was very simple.They used reed mats to set and sleep.They used papyrus to cover doors and windows.They used pots and baskets to store crops.They used wooden boxes for clothes.In cities, the homes were very close together, and so people in ancient Egypt live in cities and built thier houses taller, with two floors.This saved space so they could build more houses.City houses joined together, just like today.In the countryside, houses usually only had one floor, and they also had a garden.They grew vegetables and kept chicken th...

Hi 😊, I'm Rodina. Today I will talk about Metal In Ancient Egypt. Ancient Egyptian had a great economy. The Ancient Egyptians bought and sold many things, and one of the most important items they traded was metal. They first discovered metal in rocks around 7,000 years ago. They heated the rocks. They were able to extract the metal and shape it into different forms. They used metal to make tools and weapons, which helped them hunt and grow food more easily. Gold was very valuable and durable so they used for making jewelry and decorations. Silver was rarer but also used for jewelry. The Ancient Egyptians crafted statues and sculptures from different metals. Through trade, they exchanged metal with other countries, which helped Egypt develop its economy. Over time, Ancient Egypt became one of the strongest economies in the world. I'm waiting for your opinion.
